The unexpected death of wealthy Franklin Bond was mysterious enough, but when his animated corpse shows up at the Nyte Detective Agency asking for help in finding his murderer, things get really wonky. Not one to play with dead things, P.I. Darla Nyte reluctantly takes the case and finds herself in the middle of a plot to steal the famous Spear of Destiny, the spear used in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Working with the dead is always a tricky business. Working with the living is worse.
