FlyGirl world is dark.
It predominately takes place in New York, but there are also stories in Chicago and the fictional McIver, Iowa.
There are several antagonists. Many are the main character’s own family.
The primary antagonist is Alexander Cosetino. He’s best described is Mob 2.0, or a McMobster (see the show McMafia for reference). He’s an interesting guy. In fact, I found him so fascinating that I ended up writing a series of backstories to help me better flesh him out.
He is featured in the backstory Patience.
The Wedding is a short story about events leading up to Siobhan and Alexander’s wedding.
