Do you use paper money? If so is your money organized sequentially according to denomination?
I don’t, and it bugs me. Watch Mr. Robot, and it will bug you, too.
When I did carry paper money, I didn’t organize it. It drove my ex crazy. Could be one of the reasons he’s my ex.
You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?
Yes. I can sit and stare for hours. Sometimes I feel like my life has been one long stretch of nothing…
What is your greatest strength?
My ability to tune out the world. Back when I was in high school, some girls tried bullying me, and their hatefulness went right over my head. Eventually, I realized what they had been doing, but by then enough time had past that all I could do was laugh. It must have been so frustrating trying to get a rise out of me, because after a semester of it, they stopped trying and moved on to some other hapless soul.
One way to stop a bully is through force. I think the better way is through genuine apathy.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
Worn hardwood floors.
